Film Photography

An add-on

Add film to your session, and receive negatives to keep forever

How it works

Film is an add-on to any session; a wedding, a family, a maternity shoot.

Choose it when you book. I shoot film alongside your session, have it developed and scanned, and the photos join the rest of your gallery.

What is diafilm?

Receive the negatives in the post with a handmate note.

After receiving the online gallery, you will receive the negatives in the post. Add on an animated gif for € 35

Film or diafilm

Two ways to add film, two different looks.

Pick the one that suits your day. Not sure? Tell me about the light and the mood you’re after, and we’ll choose together.

Option 01

Film

Colors and tones are inverted (a negative). It must be printed or digitally scanned to look like a normal picture.

Look

Best for
Any session, any light

Option 02

Diafilm

The image is a positive. Colors and tones look exactly as they do in real life right on the strip.

Look

PRIMARY USE
On top of the vintage feel, a strip of tiny photo's
Best for
Daylight, outdoors, bright rooms
Add-on price

Diafilm

What is diafilm?

Diafilm directly translates to color reversal film, the strip already shows the pictures

“Dia” is short for diapositive: in English, slide film or reversal film. Where regular film is developed into a negative that is turned into a photo afterwards, slide film is developed straight into a positive, the real picture, in colour, on a small transparent frame. Hold it up to the light and there it is.

Imperfect, on purpose

A light leak, some grain, a little blur, imperfection is the charm of film

Film is never perfect, that is what makes the photos feel like a memory.
