FAQ

Booking

How do I book a shoot?

+

Send me a message through the contact page. Tell me what kind of shoot you have in mind, a date (or a few options) and where you’d like it to be. I’ll get back to you with my availability, and we confirm a date together.

How far in advance should I book?

+

For weddings: The earlier, the better! Popular dates in spring and summer can book up quickly, so I recommend reaching out as soon as you have a date in mind.

For maternity, family, and proposal shoots: Booking a few weeks in advance is usually plenty of time.

Need a last-minute shoot? Don’t hesitate to get in touch! I’ll always do my best to make it work if I’m available.

Are your prices including BTW?

+

I’m part of the KOR (Small Businesses Scheme), which means I don’t charge VAT (BTW). All prices listed on my pricing page are final, with no additional VAT.

Travel fees outside of Amsterdam are not included.

Is there a discount if I book more than one shoot?

+

Yes. Book a proposal shoot and a wedding package together, and you get 10% off both.

The shoot

Where does the shoot take place?

+

Wherever feels like you: at home, outside in your favourite spot, or a location we choose together. Tell me what you have in mind and I’ll help you find the right place and light.

We’re not used to being in front of a camera. Is that a problem?

+

Not at all, most people aren’t. I’ll guide you through it, without stiff poses. The best photos happen in between: when you laugh, look at each other or forget about the camera for a moment.

What should we wear?

+

Something you feel comfortable and like yourself in. Soft, calm colours that go well together usually work best; big logos and very busy prints can be distracting. Not sure? Send me a few options and I’ll help you choose.

How many people can join a family or maternity shoot?

+

Up to 5 people are included. Each extra person is € 50, up to 10 people in total.

With children, 10 people is a big group: I can’t guarantee that everyone looks at the camera at the same time. The photos will still be fun and natural.

When is the best time for a maternity shoot?

+

Most people choose somewhere between 28 and 34 weeks of pregnancy: your bump is clearly visible, and you usually still feel comfortable moving around. But every pregnancy is different, so we’ll plan it around how you feel.

What if it rains?

+

For an outdoor shoot we’ll keep an eye on the weather together. If it really doesn’t work, we’ll look for a new date or move inside. And sometimes a grey sky is beautiful too.

Your photos

How many photos will we get?

+

Maternity and family: 60 edited photos. Proposal: 40. Weddings: 250, 500 or 800  depending on the package. With film, you also get the photos from the roll(s), roughly 34 per roll.

How will we receive the photos?

+

In a private online gallery, where you can view, download and share them with family and friends.

When will we get our photos?

+

Your receive a small preview within a week, and the full gallery within a month after the shoot. For weddings, you receive the preview within a week as well, but the gallery can take up to 2 months.

Film

What is the difference between film and diafilm?

+

Film (negative film) gives that soft, warm look with natural grain, in colour or black & white. Diafilm is slide film: rich colour and strong contrast, the picture is the film itself.

Can I add film to any shoot?

+

Yes: film is an add-on to maternity, family, proposal and wedding shoots. One roll (± 34 photos) is € 100, diafilm is € 200 per roll. For weddings I recommend 2 or 3 rolls, and you can combine film and diafilm.

Do I get the negatives?

+

Yes. With film you get the negatives, with diafilm you get the slides themselves, together with the scanned photos in your gallery.
