The Challenge

BNNVARA wanted to create a more consistent social feed with clear, recognisable thumbnails. With a variety of content formats to communicate, the challenge was to develop a visual system that could work across different formats while maintaining a strong and cohesive identity. A key requirement was to incorporate shapes with 15-degree angles into the visual language.

The Approach

We developed a flexible design system that could adapt across formats while keeping the feed visually consistent. To create balance and rhythm, we combined straightforward typography with distinctive 15-degree shapes, giving each post a recognisable visual structure without making the overall feed feel repetitive.

The Result

The result is a consistent and recognisable social feed that brings different types of content together under one clear visual identity. The system creates cohesion across formats while giving each post enough distinction to stand out.

The system

A handful of formats, one recognisable brand

Readability is key when it comes to templates, which is why we chose to place the text on a solid block rather than over the imagery. This allows us to make the most of the brand’s vibrant colours while giving the imagery enough space to capture attention.

Thumbnails

Various options to choose from

We explored a range of shapes and colour combinations to create distinct visual directions, giving the brand a variety of strong options to choose from.

The feed

Seen together, it reads as one brand.
